Orange Julius

This beverage is not as sweet as many of the commercially available versions. If you want it sweeter, add a little extra orange juice concentrate.

1 cup fortified soy milk or other non-dairy milk

1/2 cup calcium-fortified orange juice concentrate

1/2 frozen banana, cut or broken into chunks (optional)

5 ice cubes

1 tsp vanilla extract

 

Methods/steps

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and frothy.

Orange Julius is best served immediately. Leftovers may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 day or frozen for up to 1 week. Blend the mixture again before serving.
