Tamari Almonds

Tamari almonds are a tasty, savory snack. Eat on their own or mix with raisins, sunflower seeds and chocolate chips for an energizing trail mix.
Ingredients
2 cups raw almonds
1/4 cup wheat-free tamari soy sauce
1 cookie sheet
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Mix the almonds and tamari in a bowl and let them sit for about 10 minutes. Spread the almonds in one layer on the cookie sheet. Bake them for 10 minutes. Turn them with a spatula, spread them out, and bake for another 10 minutes. At this point, just turn off the oven and let it cool down.
In about an hour, they should be cool. Store in an air tight container (glass, ploycarbonate plastic, etc.). They will keep for several weeks.
Additional Tips
You could also bake the almonds in a toaster oven. You may need to bake the almonds in two batches as they may not fit in one layer on the "cookie sheet" that comes with most toaster ovens.
For a quick snack, mix 1/2 cup tamari almonds with 1/4 cup of raisins.
